Here is an update on the Namdaemun tragedy that I read on the Marmot’s Hole.
Just keep scrolling down after clicking on this link. I guess someone admitted to the inferno. Utterly ridiculous.
Thanks to all the bloggers here in Korea for keeping detailed updates on all the news and opinions floating around. It has really helped us here at Hangul and Seoul to stay in the “know.”

Marquita! I hope I’m not intruding on your blog, but I was delighted to come across it and couldn’t restrain myself from commenting. I am thoroughly impressed by your eloquent language skills; your students are very lucky to have such a skilled mentor. It was a pleasure to read your posts. Living in Korea looks just as engrossing as I imagined it to be. If it were me I don’t know that I would ever want to return to the States. You look beautiful and your family looks very happy. I hope all is well.

You know, you can make your own maple syrup at home without much effort. Just find a Canadian and steal the flag patch off their backpack. Then, go home and boil the patch with some sugar for about 30 minutes. Voila: maple syrup.
You’re welcome.

How the hell did that happen? My comment was supposed to go on your post about the pancakes. I guess you could put some of your homemade syrup on Namdaemun, though, too – it might make everyone feel a bit better.
